Offices in UNN Closed Down as Staff Protest in Black Cloth
All the offices at the Nsukka campus and the Enugu campus of the University of Nigeria are closed down as the staff come to work with black clothe to protest for the removal of the vice chancellor and the reinstatement of the Chairman of the governing council , Dr. Emeka Enejere. The staff at the Nsukka Campus of the university normally pray at the freedom square before the protest each day.
Despite the cold in Nsukka, They all came out with black cloth. Interviewing one of the lecturers , He said that the univeristy is owing them their earned allowances which have been paid to staff in other Federal universities in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the FG yesterday appointed Mr Emmanuel Chukwuka Uluka (SAN) as the new chairman of the governing council of the University of Nigeria . Click HERE For more info on that
