Chukwuma Ume is the Best Graduating Student in UNN for 2012/2013 Session. Chukwuma graduated with a CGPA of 4.79 from the Department of Agricultural Economics in the Faculty of Agriculture. Chukwuma is a devoted Christian and a leader per exellence. He attended Giant Step International School. Chukwuma hails from Ohafia in Abia state. And have served in many leadership positions.

All the offices at the Nsukka campus and the Enugu campus of the University of Nigeria are closed down as the staff come to work with black clothe to protest for the removal of the vice chancellor and the reinstatement of the Chairman of the governing council , Dr. Emeka Enejere. The staff at the Nsukka Campus of the university normally pray at the freedom square before the protest each day.

FG suspends UNN chairman of governing council

The Federal Government on Tuesday in Abuja suspended Dr Emeka Enejere, the Chairman/ Pro-Chancellor of University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), Governing Council with immediate effect.
 This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Simeon Nwakaudu, the Special Assistant on Media to the Supervising Minister of Education, Chief Nyesom Wike.
The statement said that the suspension was announced by the supervising minister of education. Enejere was appointed as the Chairman of UNN Governing Council in April this year. (NAN)
