UNN Produces Pioneer Dental Surgeons
Authorities of the University of Nigeria have re-affirmed their commitment to the provision of aconducive atmosphere that would enable students to meet their academic desires. Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Isaac Asuzu, made this known on Tuesday at the swearing-in of the school’s 13 pioneer dental surgeons at the UNN College of Medicine in Enugu State. on study trips to some universities abroad to boost learning and research, but also refurbished all hostels to make them more conducive for students while security on its two campuses had been beefed up. Asuzu, who represented the Vice Chancellor of UNN, expressed joy that despite initial difficulties, the institution had now made history by graduating its pioneer dental surgeons, following recent accreditation of the Dental School by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. their Alumni for grants to carry out capital projects.” Dean, Faculty of Dentistry, UNN, Dr. Oge Okoye, described the 13 young dental surgeons as warriors and history makers, saying, “despite their minimal size, the surgeons have been grounded in character and learning and can compete favourably with their peers anywhere in the world.
