Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Post-Graduate Application 2012

The Nigerian Defence Academy invites Applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into full- time postgraduate programmes in the Postgraduate School of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA),Kaduna for the 2012/2013 Academic Session.
The sale of Online Application Forms shall be open from 17th September 2012 to 19th October 2012.

3.) Admission Requirements
The requirements for the various programmes are as follows:
i. Master’s (MA and MSC) Degrees.
A candidate seeking admission into the Masters Degree programme shall be a graduate of the Nigerian Defence Academy or any other recognized university. Such candidate must possess a minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) in the relevant field of study.
ii. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree.
A candidate for PhD Degree must possess a minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) at Bachelor Degree and a Masters Degree in the proposed field of study from a recognized University. In addition, the candidate must have scored an overage of not less than 60% at the Masters level.
Duration of Programme
4. Each student admitted for Masters or PhD Degree must pursue a FULL-TIME course of study and research lh the Academy. Depending on the degree in view, the following conditions are also applicable:
a. A student for the Master’s degree shall pursue the programme for 2 years (4 Semesters),
b. Candidates for PhD degree shall pursue the programme for 3 years (6 Semesters).
At the expiration of the period of study for any given programme, a student who has not completed his/her programme shall be withdrawn from the Academy. However, in exceptional circumstances, application for extension to complete the programme may be entertained. Extension shall not exceed a period of one year (2 Semesters) in case of Masters degree and 2 years (4 semesters) in case of Ph.D.
NDA Post Graduate Part Time Admission Details
The following part-time degree programmes are available in the faculties and departments listedbelow:

The following part-time PGD programmes ore available in the faculties and departments listed below:
a. Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences,

*. Department of Geography. Postgraduate Diploma in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

Each admitted student for part-time master’s degree programme must pursue weekend mode of study and research on Fridays and Saturdays for the period of the study. The following conditionsare also applicable:
*. A student of master’s degree shall pursue the programme for 1 year (2 semesters) except MBA programme which runs for 2 years.
*. A student of Postgraduate Diploma shall pursue the programme for 1 year (2 semesters), except PGDEE programme which runs for 2 years.
Accommodation
Limited number of rooms are available in the NDA Postgraduate School Hostel on first come first serve basis
Admission Requirements
The requirements for the various programmes are as follows:

*. Master’s Degree. Candidates applying for the part-time Masters programmes must possess a Bachelor degree with a minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division). Candidates with Third Class degree or Higher National Diploma must also possess a Postgraduate Diploma in a related discipline from any recognised university to be eligible for admission. HND candidates must possess a minimum of Lower Credit to apply.
*. PGD Programmes. Candidates applying for the Postgraduate Diploma programme must possessa Bachelor degree from the Nigerian Defence Academy or any other recognised university. or aHigher National Diploma.

Method of Application
5. Candidates are required to purchase Access or PIN Codes available at all Zenith Bank Branches and Cash Offices nationwide at the cost of N7,500.00 only, excluding bank charges of N500.00 for online application.
Submission of Application
6.) Upon purchase of Access or PIN codes, prospective candidates should log on to www.ndapgapplications.org complete the Online Application Form. Kindly note that your application is not complete until all copies of your Credentials, Acknowledgement Form, RefereeForm, Application for Transcripts Form and Medical Report Forms, have been submitted along with your application. Candidates can either upload the aforementioned items, when they sign in, or mail them to The Secretary, Postgraduate School Nigerian Defence Academy, P.M B. 2109, Kaduna.
