CALL FOR APPLICATION
The Department of Microbiology, University of Nigeria,
Nsukka invites suitable candidates wishing to improve or acquire expertise on
Molecular Biology and biotechnology techniques, for an intensive hands-on
training vworkshop at the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the University.
TRAINING OVERVIEW

Extraction of Genomic DNA from various sources

Polymerase chain reaction(PCR), PCR-based
Molecular typing( RAPD,RFLP)and reverse transcription ( RT-PCR)
·
Primer design
·
TA Cloning
REFRESHER TRAINING

Extraction of Protein from various sources
The training workshop will assist scientists to develop
skills required in active research and teaching programs in the area of
Molecular Biology and technology. The workshop will be mainly hands-on pratical
training. It is open to all researchers, lectures,professionals and
postgraduate students in the field of Biological and Pharmaceutical sciences.
The cost for the training workshop is N50,000 exclusive of
travel and accomodation. This is inclusive of tea breaks,lunch ,cocktails and
workshop bag and materials.Limited spaces(30) are available and will be strictly
on first come-first served basis
